Digital Error Detection
If there was a faulty part during automotive series production, the Allgaier Group creates a classic scrap or rework booking via the nuveon mHub terminal, which is available to employees at every system. As a result, the bookings could be transmitted and evaluated with a respective error code, but the location and frequency remained unknown to the system.
The aim was to enable employees to develop a sense of analysis and “Lessons Learned”, through which a precise identification of errors and their frequency on certain components can be attained. In order to obtain the highest possible data quality, it is important to have the digital error detection carried out by the employees exactly where the respective error is detected for the first time: on the discharge conveyor of the system, when the parts are removed and visually inspected. Maximum speed and user-friendly system are key.
Nuveon's Digital Error Detection is accessed via a touch-monitor, positioned right next to the section where the finished-parts collection takes place, and is fully integrated into the existing mHub platform. This means that when a production order is loaded on the mHub Shopfloor Terminal, the associated error recording is automatically loaded and/or updated on the screen. No further action is required from the employees!
If the employee detects a component fault, a grid overlay in the software's interface allows the user to mark the exact fault location on the component's CAD image, as well as enter the error-code and book the component for scrap or rework. Also, the already recorded error locations including their number in the ongoing production, as well as the top error codes are displayed. A colored heat map enables you to see at a glance how high the frequency of errors is at the respective point.
The downstream and resulting management reports show analysis and error focal-points in the most diverse variants and can be adapted as required and desired. Based on this information, measures for the upcoming production of the respective component are determined, which in turn can then be checked for success. Furthermore, the already known error patterns of individual components can be displayed in downstream production so that the employees there are aware in advance.
